The Derwent Catchment Project team offers a range of services to support your land management needs. We are a not-for-profit registered charity, which means any money we make is invested back into the Derwent Catchment and its community.
Our experienced on-ground team offers spot spraying, cut/paste and 4WD ute/truck spraying weed control. We have specialist weed knowledge and a can-do attitude!
We run a native plant nursery and offer services for revegetation projects of all sizes. Specialist site advice, native plants hardened to local conditions, and the labour, materials and know-how to get the job done right.
The Derwent Catchment Project team works with farmers to produce practical plans that support holistic farm management including soils, natural capital, shelterbelts, pasture and grazing management. We can tailor plans to support changing paddocks, irrigation systems or potential cropping areas.
Our biodiversity plans prioritise natural assets, leading to premium market opportunities and rewards for improving condition and connecting remnants.
We have developed a sustainability audit tool which assesses a farming operation across a range of environmental, social and economic indicators based on international standards.
Our native plant nursery is based in Hamilton. We collect local seed and grow sturdy natives that can cope with local conditions.
